Create a Circles Group
Runner-dependent: Group creation is a write flow. Follow the UI steps below; Rust SDK code samples will be added once the runner exists.
Prerequisites
Make sure you’ve completed these before continuing.
- You’ve installed a wallet, Rabby or Metamask
- You’ve received an invite link, and you have an active Metri account
- Open the Circles App and deploy a new Safe
Using a Chrome-based desktop browser or Firefox is recommended (the app is not yet optimised for mobile devices).
Creating a New Group
1. Connecting
Visit app.aboutcircles.com and click “Get started”.
On “Access Circles”, select the Use Safe option to either:
- Create a new Safe that will act as the owner of your group.
- Access existing Safes associated with your connected wallet.
2. Create the owner's Safe
From this page, create and deploy a new Safe wallet. This Safe will function as the owner of your new group.
- Click Create New Safe.
- Sign the transaction in your web3 wallet (e.g., Metamask, Rabby).

3. Create your first group
After your Safe deploys, you’ll see its address (e.g., 0x2A12…). For now, ignore the register button.
- Click My Groups + to start the group creation flow.
4. Your group info
Set the core info for your new group.
- The Name and Symbol fields cannot be changed after creation.
- The Image and Description fields can be updated at any time.

Once you’ve entered all member addresses:
