Glossary

  • Avatar: An account in Circles (personal/human, group, or organization).
  • Personal currency (CRC): ERC-1155 token minted at 1 CRC/hour per personal avatar (demurrage applies).
  • Group currency: ERC-1155 token backed by collateral deposits from trusted tokens; minted/redeemed via group policies.
  • Trust relation: Edge in the trust graph determining fungibility/flow capacity between avatars.
  • Demurrage: ~7%/year decay on balances to discourage hoarding.
  • Pathfinder: Service/crate that computes trust-based transfer flows.
  • Runner: Contract execution layer (not implemented yet in Rust) that will handle writes like transfers, minting, trust updates.
  • circles_query: RPC method returning table-like data (profiles, groups, balances, trust, events).
